AN OPEN LETTER TO HON. NARTEY, SAMUEL GEORGE NINGO-PRAMPRAM MP.

Dear Hon. Nartey,

Congratulation on your re-election as the MP for Ningo-Prampram.

Your work is intricate than meets the eyes and I wish you all the wisdom to execute your job well and diligently.

I would like to draw your attention to the sanitation issue in Ningo-Prampram.  With close observation,  Ningo-Prampram is in filth. There is no proper provision of facilities and service of sanitation management. The open defecation in some parts of the community is very worrying. Residents and individuals dispose of waste inappropriately due to the limited dustbins on the streets. This then contributes to the pollution of the environment. Improper sanitation has become a very serious problem which poses danger to the individuals and residents of Ningo-Prampram. A setting with poor waste management will certainly not attract tourists and investors in the community.

In order to improve sanitation, there is the need to educate the community on the need to maintain a sanitized environment. Educating individuals on proper sanitation will make them aware of some of the actions that involve improper waste disposal and its related activities. Organization of community clean up exercise has to do with community involvement. Hence indulging members in the community in such exercises will make them aware on the need to maintain a sanitized environment.  Provision of waste bins at vantage points across the community and places of convenience will also reduce the indiscriminate throwing of rubbish and defecation of human waste.

The People of Ningo-Prampram are calling on you to put structures in place and implement strategies to solve their sanitation problem as well as creating a healthy and peaceful environment. I believe that once things are put in place, residents and visitors will contribute their quota and be bound by the laws and regulations that come with it.

We are counting on you.

Thank You
