Amazing Grace Children's Foundation is a team of medical doctors from New Jersey and United States of America. Their fundamental mission and responsibility is to help underprivileged and underserved children in communities, both domestic and global, by bringing medical care to communities in need and to address health and social challenges in Ghana.
Day one of this free health medical mission took place January 7th at the Sacred Heart school in James Town, a fishing community in the urban township of Accra. Approximately 200 children and adults were taken through deworming, dental care, eye screening and pregnancy care.
The day was well enjoyed by the engagement of some volunteers through creative works such as coloring, toy arrangement and more..
The team leader Gloria Nimo expressed her gratitude to the Paediatric Society of Ghana for supporting them as well as the volunteers.
Madam Gloria Nimo, said child health care issues in Ghana is a key mission statement Amazing Grace Children's Foundation aims to address in Ghana.
Free health care will be offered on the second and third days of the mission, January 8th and 9th, at the Church of Pentecost, Otaten Ablekuma North Accra, from 8:00am - 4:30pm.
The fourth day of the mission, January 10th, will focus on sex and reproductive health education with the students of Accra Senior High School, 9:00am - 11:00am..
The end of the mission, will be a commissioning borehole facilities in two communities in the Central Tongu district of the Volta Region of Ghana.
