*The University Students' Association of Ghana (USAG)* turns red as we sympathize with KNUST student fraternity over the sudden demise of Miss Rachel Baaba Mensah, a third year Midwifery student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. We equally express our sincere condolences to the family and friends  in this desolate moment.

Reports indicates that, the accident which led to the sudden demise of Miss Rachel Baaba Mensah and other colleagues was in a private vehicle driven by one of the deceased who was the youngest amongst the three ladies on board in the vehicle had a burst tyre resulting in the gory accident of the deceased ladies.  we were duely informed that, the driver lost control of the steering wheel after the tyre had bursted, leading to the vehicle somersaulting continuously before coming to a halt. Some pedestrians around the scene came to the rescue of the ladies in the vehicle and rushed them to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital. Three died on the spot, including, Miss Rachel Baaba Mensah.

The cruelty of death, the gory accidents bring to mind excruciating pain but we pray everyone of us find Solace and comfort in the  Spirit of God. May God be with us till we meet again our dear sister and may He in His mercy, comfort the aching hearts of those who mourn.

May the soul of our dear sister  rest in perfect peace
