Initiates Read For Me Project.

Naa Korkor Aadzieoyi I, founder of Adabraka Queen Mother foundation, in collaboration with Ama Ata Aidoo Creative Writing Center, located at African University College of Communications, will initiate the "Read for Me Project" in Adabraka.

The theme of this initiative
Reading: The Foundation for Creative Writing and Key Literacy Skills for Development.

The goal is to improve the quality of a child's performance through reading books that will increase vocabulary, enhance literacy skills and build confidence towards exploring creative skills.

Upon a rapid assessment of basic schools, children do not have access to reading center facilities.

BECE results and continuous analysis of performance also revealed very limited output with a majority of the children in primary to JSH level displaying poor quality of reading and the inability to express themselves through writing.

As a way to enhance reading and creative writing skills of the Adabraka school children, Adabraka Queen Mother foundation called on Ama Ata Aidoo Creative Writing Center, to assist in building literacy skills in the youth and embrace this laudable initiative.

Personalities planning to attend include: Professor Margaret Crabbe, AUCC President; Mrs. Felicia Boakye -Yiadom , Acting Executive Secretary, National Council for Curriculum and Assessment; Madam. Margaret Frempong, Director Accra Metro Education Directorate; Dr. Nana Achampong, Director Ama Ata Aidoo Creative Writing Center..

The launching ceremony will be held at the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) conference hall, Adabraka, near Abundant Grace Academy, on November 15, 2018, 9:30 a.m.
