KINGS UNIVERSITY COLLEGE HOLDS ITS ANNUAL UNDERGRADUATE FRESHER GAMES.

The Students Representative Council (SRC) in collaboration with the Local PUSAG/NUGS/USAG Secretariat of the Kings University College has on Friday, 5th October held its Annual Undergraduate Fresher Games. The events which included Men's Soccer, Volleyball, Snooker and Chair Dance were among efforts by the SRC/NUGS to create a pleasant ground for both fresher and continuing students to socialize in a rather entertaining way.

Speaking on behalf of the SRC/NUGS, the Public Relations Officer, Miss Mawuena Elikem Dagadu said, "the SRC/NUGS Secretariat deems it necessary organizing these events to help bring the students under a canopy of oneness." Again, she said "we also intend to use this opportunity to get some fresh bloods into our school's sports team even as we get ready to defend our title as the winners of last year's PUFA tournament." It was also clear that, the games were a means to relieving some stress after they have had weeks of engaging lectures. On that note she said, "we have also organized these events to help us relieve some stress after 5 weeks of lectures". At the end of the Men's soccer match, the continuing students had carried the day at penalties.

The Women's Commission, presided by Hon. Claudia Debrah took advantage of the organization to launch her "Breast Cancer Awareness Month". She also used the opportunity to fulfill her campaign promise of "One Faculty, One First Aid Kit".

The events welcomed massive crowd of people gracing the day with much fun. Also in attendance were; H.E Noah Eseme (SRC President), H.E Pearl Papafio (SRC Vice President), H.E Ewurama Colever (Local NUGS/PUSAG/USAG President), Hon.
