AFRICAN UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF COMMUNICATIONS ORGANISES CAREER COURSE

African University College of Communications Organises Career Course.

The Welfare Committeee of the Student's Representative Council of the African University College of Communication (AUCC) has organised a one day career orientation course for students.

The event which was held on Thursday 20th September at the auditorium of the University College was aimed at orienting both freshmen/ fresh women and continuing students on the skills required to succeed in the job market. The seminar focussed on the future career paths available to students the four course speciality areas offered by AUCC: Journalism, Strategic Communication, Development Communication and Visual Communication.

Speakers at the event included an eclectic mix of professionals and academics with the likes of  Mr.Kwamena Budu, Head of Corporate Communications & Brand management of GHL Bank, Naa Ashorkor Broadcaster, Henry Elvis Obimpeh - Visual Communication expert & Lecture at AUCC, Mr. Emmanuel Essel, Head of Development Communications - Faculty at AUCC, taking turns to address the students on their respective study areas.

Speaking after the event, some of the participants expressed their joy and satisfaction of the event describing it as educative and informative. 

Meanwhile some students who spoke after the event urged faculty members of AUCC to adopt teaching methods that puts emphasis on practical and applicability of course contents in a bid to adequately prepare students for the job market after their studies.
